I am a thirty-something grad student born and raised in beautiful B.C. and embarking on a second degree at UBC in the Interdisciplinary Studies Graduate Program (ISGP) focused on adult education and bioethics. My background is in social work and disability studies/advocacy and my natural inclination to devour books and knowledge seems to have led to the life of a perpetual student. The paradox of “adult life” and being a grad student constantly surprises me as I try to maintain my professional career while simultaneously developing it.
